It's been a little busy

Hello our lovely jigsaw puzzling friends,

How are you doing? Let us know on facebook, we would love to hear from you.

What a week. I’m sorry I’ve missed a few days of updates. It has been a little busy, and I thought that you would probably want us to focus on getting orders out and taking care of the team.

We are a small business, we employ just under 20 warehouse staff in Hatherleigh, Devon, who are split across the various specialities that we have in the business. We have re-focused all our efforts on getting jigsaw puzzles to our customers.

We are particularly conscious of the strain that the huge increase of orders is putting on our team. They want to fulfil orders for our customers in a timely manner, they want to keep going so that we can maintain the business and keep employing everyone. But they also want to keep themselves and everyone around them safe. We’re asking them to do a lot and they are delivering on every level. I’m so proud of them. I wish I could hug them all, but, social distancing!

We are getting closer to finding an optimal way of working that is safe and maximises our output with the resources that we have available to us. Our output is lower than normal, as we have around half of our staff self-isolating or those that are choosing not to come to work as they are worried about their loved ones. We completely understand this and are supporting staff in this decision.

We gave the team the weekend off, as last week was stressful and tiring. It is important that everyone gets enough rest and relaxation time with loved ones.

The majority of our customers are being so understanding. Thank you so much. However, we also understand that some customers are frustrated that they haven’t received their puzzles as quickly as normal.  This is upsetting to the team, as they are used to getting orders out so quickly. Please be patient, I promise you that we are doing everything that we can, but our absolute priority is keeping our staff safe and well.

Thank you so much for your support. We are receiving so many messages asking us to keep safe and I am reading every one that I can.

Keep safe and well and remember to smile,

Cynthia
