The sun’s finally come out in the UK and bought with it sweltering heat, barbecue parties and PRIDE MONTH!
One of my favourite parts of the year, pride month brings with it unique stories, big characters and more rainbows than you can shake a stick at.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget the struggles that the LGBTQI+ community face on a daily basis, so like Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, Pride Month is acts as a time of reflection and celebration of the community.
During the pandemic, Pride felt different to me – with parades cancelled across the country, pride went digital. Businesses small and large jumped on board to spread a message of joy and unity online – Youtube hosted a series of interviews with the likes of Sam Smith, Demi Lovato, Trixie Mattel and more; and campaigns like the Lego LGBTQI+ set, and Indeed’s campaign #EmpathyAtWork helping marginalised groups with support and insights into how to land a job appeared across the web.
All Jigsaw Puzzles is honoured to support Pride every year, as an equal opportunities employer, we not only encourage LGBTQI+ people to work within our team, but also strive to introduce you, the customer, to talented members of the community through our artists, contributors and content.
For Pride 2021, All Jigsaw Puzzles introduced a new design called Diversity 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle by Emma Helliwell, and this year we will be launching a Limited Edition Circular Rainbow Jigsaw Puzzle with 20% of profits being donated to Stonewall Charity.
As we gear up to Pride weekend on the 25th and 26th of June, I for one can’t wait to see what will be my highlight this year.
