I'm a tad peeved...

Hello our lovely jigsaw puzzling friends,

How are you and your loved ones? I hope you are well and that you’re doing ok. We would love to know how you’re getting on with all the jigsaw puzzles you’ve been doing. Come over to our Facebook and let us know. We have loved seeing them all.

It’s been quite a while since my last update. My small but mighty marketing team are creating useful blogs for you on jigsaw puzzling and ideas for passing the time, so I didn’t really feel like there was anything I could add.

But then something happened…

We have been extremely busy over the past few weeks, figuring out socially distanced working, supporting each other through unprecedented circumstances and sending out 4 times as many orders as we would normally send this time of year.  None of that upsets me, obviously.

I love my job, I love that we are providing an activity for our existing and new customers that is hopefully helping just a little bit at a difficult time. That certainly doesn’t distress me in any way.

We have even found a few people /  companies that are copying our ideas and social media content. That doesn’t bother me either – we are good at trying new things. I like that we do things first and others think it’s a great idea and follow suit. It is the way of things. It just makes us try other ideas.

However, I logged onto Amazon earlier today and discovered that someone is pretending to sell our All Jigsaw Puzzle branded jigsaw puzzles for 3 times the normal price. NOW I’M PEEVED! After registering our complaint to Amazon and calming down a bit, I sat down to write this for the following reasons.

  1. I don’t want anyone to be conned, these are not AJP branded products and they are not an authorised seller.
  2. This doesn’t just affect us, we work with some amazing, talented and lovely artists who are owed commission with every sale. They lose out too.
  3. I know that this is not a problem just on our own branded puzzles, Jumbo, Gibsons and Ravensburger definitely have this issue too. So make sure that if you buy jigsaw puzzles from Amazon or any marketplace-type seller that you are confident the seller has good ratings on Amazon.
  4. That is a ridiculous price for a jigsaw puzzle!

We have been really busy, trying to fulfil orders and have not been able to make many of our own jigsaw puzzles. We have a skeleton staff and all our resource is pointed at getting jigsaw puzzles out to as many of our customers as possible. Whenever we have been able to make any, they immediately sell out! This is the same across all jigsaw ranges at the moment. We are working hard to bring in the best range possible for you, so please check back on our website regularly.

If you’ve made it to the end of this post, thank you for reading my rant, but I really felt that this was important to get out there.

Keep safe and well and remember to smile,

Cynthia

Marketing Director at All Jigsaw Puzzles

P.S. As the situation is changing so quickly and also because everything is quite unsettling right now, I am trying to write regular updates on what's happening at All Jigsaw Puzzles. You can see all the updates by clicking here
